Portrait Station

The Portrait Station Toronto

A professional photographer, a live editor and a studio setup — inside your event. Guests leave with a retouched portrait worth framing, not another snapshot. From $600.

Not a Photo Booth. A Portrait Studio.

A photo booth is fast, funny and self-serve — guests press a button, pull a face and grab a strip. The Portrait Station is the other end of the spectrum. We set up a proper studio at your venue: professional lighting, a clean backdrop, a photographer who actually directs each guest, and an editor working beside them.

The result is a portrait people put on a wall or a LinkedIn profile — retouched, printed and handed over before they walk away. It's the single easiest way to give guests something they genuinely keep. Many Toronto clients book a Mirror Booth for the fun and a Portrait Station for the keepsake.

What Makes It Different

A real photographer, not a button

Every guest is posed, lit and directed by a professional — the difference between a snapshot and a portrait. No one has to know what to do with their hands.

An editor on site

Images are colour-corrected and retouched at the event, minutes after the shutter. Guests see a finished, polished portrait — not a raw file.

Studio-quality prints in hand

Professional dye-sublimation prints handed over on the spot, plus the high-resolution digital by text or email before they leave the station.

Individuals, couples & groups

Solo headshots, couples, families, whole teams — the setup handles all of it, and the photographer adapts the lighting for each.

Add the Heirloom Guest Book

Pair the Portrait Station with a keepsake album: each guest's portrait sits beside their handwritten message to you. It replaces the guest book nobody re-reads with something you actually will — and it's assembled live during your event.

Portrait Station FAQ

What is a Portrait Station?

A Portrait Station is a professional portrait studio set up inside your event. Unlike a self-serve photo booth, a real photographer directs each guest — posing, lighting and expression — while an on-site editor retouches the images in minutes. Guests walk away with a studio-quality portrait, printed on the spot and delivered digitally, rather than a quick snapshot.

How is the Portrait Station different from a photo booth?

A photo booth is fast, playful and self-directed — guests press a button and get fun prints. The Portrait Station is the opposite end of the spectrum: professional lighting, a photographer guiding every shot, and real editing before the print comes out. Photo booths are about volume and laughs; the Portrait Station is about a portrait people frame. Many clients book a Mirror Booth for the fun and a Portrait Station for the keepsake.

How much does the Portrait Station cost in Toronto?

The Portrait Station starts at $600 for 2 hours and $900 for 3 hours. That includes the photographer, the on-site editor, studio lighting, unlimited sessions during your booked hours, retouched digital delivery and a private online gallery. Additional hours and add-ons like the Heirloom Guest Book are quoted per event.

Do guests get prints or just digital files?

Both. Every guest receives a retouched print on the spot from our professional dye-sublimation printer, plus the high-resolution digital file by text or email. After the event you receive a private gallery with every edited portrait in full resolution to keep or share.

Is the Portrait Station good for corporate headshots?

It's one of the most requested corporate activations we run. Conferences, networking evenings and staff appreciation events use it to give every attendee a polished LinkedIn-ready headshot on a clean backdrop, with your logo on the digital frame. It doubles as a genuinely useful perk rather than a giveaway that ends up in a drawer.

How much space and setup time does it need?

We need roughly 10 x 10 feet with about 8 feet of ceiling height for the backdrop and lighting, plus one standard 120V outlet. Setup takes about an hour and teardown 30 minutes, both outside your booked hours. We can work with a smaller footprint if your venue is tight — just tell us the space when you book.

“Guests were stunned — they expected a photo booth and got an actual portrait session. People still have theirs on the fridge.”
