Yes. Most condo party rooms in Toronto and the GTA have enough space and power for a photo booth, and we set up in them regularly. The three things that decide whether it goes smoothly are the room size, the elevator booking and whatever paperwork your property manager asks for.
Condo party rooms are one of the most common places people hold birthdays, baby showers, engagement parties and small holiday get-togethers in the city. They are affordable, close to home and you do not have to clean your own unit afterwards. The catch is that they come with rules. Every building has its own, but they tend to follow the same pattern, so a little planning covers almost all of them.
Which photo booth fits best in a condo party room?

How much space does a photo booth need in a party room?
Plan on about 8 by 8 feet for a Mirror Booth and about 10 by 10 feet for a full-size 360; the Compact 360 needs less. Add a little room in front so the line does not block the food table.
Most Toronto condo party rooms are long rectangles with a kitchenette on one side and a TV or lounge area on the other. The best spot for a booth is usually the short wall farthest from the kitchen, so guests have to walk past the food to reach it and the line forms naturally. Avoid putting the booth right beside the door, since party rooms are often the only access to a terrace or washroom.

What does condo property management usually require?
Most buildings ask for three things: a party room booking, an elevator or loading dock reservation, and sometimes a certificate of insurance from the vendor. Ask your concierge or property manager for the building's vendor rules as soon as you book the room.
The details vary from building to building, but here is what we see most often:
1. Party room booking and deposit. This is between you and the building. Confirm your start and end time, because the booth needs setup time inside that window.
2. Service elevator reservation. Many buildings want vendors to use the service elevator and loading dock, not the lobby. Book the elevator for about an hour before your party starts and an hour after it ends.

4. Noise and end times. Party rooms often close at 11 PM or midnight. The booth itself is quiet, but plan your booking hours so teardown finishes before the room closes.
5. Parking. Tell us whether there is visitor parking or a loading zone. Downtown buildings in CityPlace, Liberty Village and the Waterfront often have tight loading docks, so knowing ahead saves time.
How long does setup take in a condo building?
Setup takes about 45 to 60 minutes from the loading dock to the first photo, and teardown takes about 30 to 45 minutes. Elevator waits are the biggest variable, which is why we ask about the service elevator in advance.
Our attendant arrives early, brings everything up in one or two trips and handles the whole setup, the booth itself and the teardown. You do not need to lift anything or stay back to help. We just need one standard outlet within reach of the booth.
How many hours should you book for a party room event?
Two hours is enough for most party room birthdays and showers with a Mirror Booth, and three hours is the minimum for any 360 booth. For a party with 50 or more guests, three hours gives everyone a turn without a rush.
